The truth is, so much of who I am comes from the people who raised me, the camera that gave me a place to belong and the life I’ve built around it.

So, scroll on for as much as I’m willing to put on the internet.

I COME FROM BOTH

DAD // Tech. Systems. Realist.

From my dad, I get the systems brain. The realist. The part of me that wants to understand how everything works and what to do when it doesn’t.

That is the part of me that can walk into a dark room, a chaotic wedding morning, a packed festival or a kitchen moving at full speed and stay calm. I read the light, solve the problem and keep going.

The technical work becomes invisible, so the people never have to think about it.

MOM // Spirit. Heart. Foodie.

My mom, Odette, gave me the heart of it. Spirit, food, ritual, instinct, and the belief that caring for people is its own kind of art.

Through her, I carry Mexican lineage, recipes, marigolds, and a reverence for the things we cannot always explain. I lost her in 2024, but she is still everywhere in my work.

Especially in the night. Especially when an owl appears. Especially when the camera becomes a way of holding what would otherwise pass.
